Gavin Rossdale said relationship with daughter Daisy is like a 'friendship'

Gavin Rossdale has said his relationship with daughter Daisy is more like a 'friendship'. The 44-year-old found out in 2004 that he is father to model Daisy Lowe, 21, after a fling with her mum Pearl. 

         The singer has two young sons with wife Gwen Stefani and said he has a very different relationship with Daisy than he has with his sons. He said to Details magazine: "With the boys it's traditional: I'm all they know, and I'm with them all the time. With Daisy, I don't know her in that context. "The way I nurture those boys, I never got a chance with Daisy. I love my connection with her, but I don't have any say in who she is. With the boys it's my job to correct them and shape them. "With Daisy, I just have to be respectful. I suppose it's more like a friendship."...

Gavin Rossdale has taken to his Facebook page to reassure fans that his marriage to Gwen Stefani is fine.

The rocker's marriage was believed to be on the rocks after Courtney Love revealed she had an affair with the former Bush singer.

Rossdale wrote: "Gwen and Gavin Rossdale would like to assure their fans that anything that may have occurred prior to their marriage has no impact on their current situation. All is well with the Rossdale family."

In an interview on the Howard Stern show, the Hole singer claimed that she had a eight-month affair while he was dating Gwen Stefani.

Love said she knew Rossdale was with Stefani at the time but that she had a "vision of marrying Gavin Rossdale one time... We were like, 'Let's go spend our rock star money'."

She also said: "Everyone gave me so much s--- because Gavin sounded like a lot like Kurt.... But man, he was such an Adonis in his day! He got good in bed ... something happened. Maybe Gwen taught him, for all I know."

Gavin Rossdale: Yeah. That was it. You have to know what you like, and I know what I like.
